Notice to Shareholders: Beware of Fraud
Notice to Shareholders: Beware of Fraud
(November 17, 2024 / Taipei)
With the liberalization of telecommunications and the diversification of global financial transactions, fraudulent organizations have been leveraging advanced information and communication technology, along with the convenience of financial systems, to continually develop new methods of deception. These include impersonating prosecutors, investigation bureaus, or police authorities to gain victims’ trust and subsequently defraud them of their assets. Fraud is no longer merely a public security issue; it has escalated into a national security concern.
Over the past three months, JCTECH Technology has received multiple inquiries and reports from shareholders regarding the following incidents:
-
Some shareholders have reported receiving phone calls from individuals claiming to be "prosecutors," asking how to purchase shares of JCTECH, at what price they were acquired, and whether the shareholder had been defrauded, among other questions.
-
Some shareholders reported that their stock seals had previously been entrusted to their brokerage agents for safekeeping, and that these agents are now unreachable. They have asked whether these seals might be held by JCTECH’s shareholder services department.
For shareholders who encounter situation (1) above, please record the caller’s phone number and name, then contact JCTECH Shareholder Services as soon as possible at (02) 2758-0690.
For shareholders whose stock seals were previously entrusted to others and are now unaccounted for—such as in situation (2) above—please also contact JCTECH Shareholder Services at (02) 2758-0690.
Additionally, we remind all shareholders to notify JCTECH Shareholder Services if your household registration address, mailing address, or phone number has changed, so that your shareholder information can be updated accordingly.
Thank you for your continued support.
