JC Tech Secures Exclusive Taiwan Agency Rights for Counter-UAS Radar, Building Low-Altitude Defense Capabilities

As demand for low-altitude defense continues to rise rapidly, Taiwanese UAV system integrator JC Tech announced today that it has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with an internationally renowned defense radar company, securing exclusive agency rights in Taiwan for its Artificial Intelligence Active Electronically Scanned Array (AI AESA) Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (Counter-UAS, C-UAS) radar products.

JC Tech stated that the agreement will facilitate the integration of autonomous UAV platforms, AI edge computing, and advanced low-altitude radar technologies, creating a comprehensive low-altitude defense solution with offensive, defensive, and system-integration capabilities. The two parties have also agreed to pursue Original Design Manufacturing (ODM) cooperation and localize the production of counter-UAS radar systems in Taiwan, combining domestically developed UAV technologies with counter-UAS systems for global supply and targeting opportunities in non-China supply chains and the counter-UAS market.

JC Tech explained that Taiwan has, for the first time, completed a comprehensive offensive-and-defensive integration of “attack UAVs + counter-UAS radar.” This cross-border cooperation marks another step forward for Taiwan’s UAV defense technology and represents an important milestone for Asia’s non-China supply chain. Through the deep integration of JC Tech’s autonomous UAV technology and counter-UAS radar systems, the solution can provide one-stop capabilities ranging from low-altitude threat detection, target identification, and tracking to countermeasure operations. This creates a complete defense architecture combining both the “spear” and the “shield,” with applications across military defense, airports, seaports, energy facilities, and other critical infrastructure, in line with global trends toward de-risking and trusted supply chains.

JC Tech stated that after integrating UAVs with AI AESA counter-UAS radar, the system can effectively detect small drones in the 35-centimeter class at a maximum detection range exceeding 10 kilometers, while also providing all-weather operation, multi-target tracking, and AI-based identification capabilities.

To address the requirements of modern asymmetric warfare, JC Tech adopts a modular design that allows different payloads to be rapidly configured according to mission needs, supporting tactical reconnaissance, intelligence collection, precision strike, inspection, and other missions. Its products have been deployed for validation in high-intensity conflict environments and have attracted active cooperation inquiries from government and defense organizations in Japan, South Korea, the United States, the Middle East, and other Asian countries.

To accelerate its overseas market expansion, JC Tech recently joined forces with Taiwanese optical thin-film designer and manufacturer ProOptics and Lightspot Technology to establish Oplus Group. The group integrates optical modules, energy systems, AI edge computing, and UAV manufacturing capabilities to provide comprehensive low-altitude defense and intelligent inspection solutions.
